Top 10 Windows Software Development books

  • The C++ Programming Language - Bjarne Stroustrup

  • Debugging Applications for .Net and Windows - John Robbins

  • Visual C++ Windows Shell Programming - Dino Esposito

  • Programming .Net Components - Juval Lowy

  • Exceptional C++ - Herb Sutter

  • Programming Microsoft Visual C++ - Kruglinski, Shepherd, Wingo

Books are important to a Developer. Other resources are available; MSDN, online articles, training courses, ask your local guru etc. but when you are sitting down with a real issue at hand then a valuable reference book is the best resource. These are not the most interesting and thought provoking but to me they are definitely the most useful.
